About Kwara State Polytechnic

Established in 1973 by the then Kwara State Military Governor Col. David Bamigboye, Kwara State Polytechnic is ranked among the top polytechnics in Nigeria. There were one hundred and ten (110) pioneer students at its inception. Currently, the school awards National and Higher National Diplomas in numerous courses and programs.

Also, as a school with the interest of its students at heart, there is a provision for part-time and full-time programs. This makes it easy for students to select courses and programs that are flexible and convenient for them and allows the school management to operate with relative ease. 

        The school has, since its inception, kept a commendable record for high educational standards which has made it to be recognized around that has drawn recognition for various parts of Africa. The location of Kwara state Polytechnic is strategic because the state already boasts of reputable institutions of higher learning, such as the Federal government-owned University of Ilorin.

Kwara State Polytechnic Cut-off Mark 2022/2023

For Kwara state Polytechnic, the cut-off mark for the 2022/2023 academic session is the same as the previous session, 140. Only admission seekers who meet the required departmental cut-off mark and other requirements would be eligible to take the 2022/2023 Post UTME exam.

Candidates who are successful in this and the internal physical screening of documents by the relevant faculties and offices in the school would be offered admission to study the course of their in the polytechnic.

  • Printed Post-UTME Screening Form
  • Internet copy of O level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/NBAIS)
  • Printed copy JAMB Result Slip
  • Birth Certificate/Declaration of age
  • Local Government
  • Indigene/Citizen/Residence Certificate
  • Recent colored passport photographs (Not fewer than 8 copies). 

Kwara State Polytechnic School Fees for ND and HND Students

        In Nigeria, after private-owned tertiary institutions, tertiary institutions run by the state government are usually more expensive than Federal institutions.
